Course Description

The course has been designed to fulfill several objectives. First, to enhance your appreciation of the various phenomena that intrigue entrepreneurship scholars, we will cover a broad range of such topics. Second, to enhance your understanding of the quality demanded by research-intensive business faculties, we will mainly read articles published within the leading entrepreneurship and general management journals. Third, to enhance your appreciation of the variety of ways by which scholars can make an academic contribution, we will cover a mix of conceptual/review and empirical articles within most topic areas. Finally, to enhance your awareness of the current state of the field, we will focus primarily on recent research, but include also several classics as key points of reference. Through active participation in critically analyzing literature in dialogue with other academics you will be able to:

• Understand core entrepreneurship theories;
• Apply the concepts to academic research;
• Practice the ability to communicate ideas to academics.
