Dr. Gorgulu will share insights into his research on data-driven optimization with applications in healthcare and public operations. His work focuses on building realistic models and developing predictive and prescriptive analytics to support decision-making under uncertainty, using methods such as stochastic modeling, queueing theory, interpretable machine learning, and Markov decision processes. He collaborates with healthcare practitioners on problems with real-world impact, including patient flow optimization. He is available to supervise PhD students in Operations Management.

Dr. Ghasemaghaei will share insights into her research on the use of data analytics and artificial intelligence in organizations, with a particular focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) issues in AI. Her work examines biases in AI algorithms and their impacts on decision-making, as well as strategies to mitigate these biases and promote fairer outcomes. Her research has been published in leading outlets such as MIS Quarterly, Journal of Management Information Systems, and European Journal of Information Systems. She is available to supervise PhD students in Information Systems.
