We are happy to announce that Liufang (Sophia) Yao has been awarded the Mutual Group Graduate Scholarship for 2012-13. The scholarship is awarded each year by the Scholarships Committee and the value is $11,000 for the year. Congratulations Liufang!
One of our PhD students, Andrew Carrothers, recently donated four braids of his hair to Beautiful Lengths, a program which helps provide wigs for cancer patients. Andrew grew his hair out specifically for this purpose, after losing his wife to cancer two years ago. Read more on the main DeGroote website: Fighting the Good Fight
