We are pleased to formally acknowledge Punit Anand‘s successful defence of his dissertation titled titled “Three Essays on Productivity and Cross-Sectional Asset Pricing.” Punit was supervised by Ronald Balvers and the two other members of his supervisory committee were Narat Charupat and Peter Miu.
Punit came to our PhD program with an MBA from Memorial University in Newfoundland and more than six years of work experience as a Sell-side Financial analyst on a Bay Street firm. While enrolled in our doctoral program, he presented papers at the FMA annual meeting. Punit was selected for the Harry Lyman Hooker Senior Fellowship award and the Ontario Graduate Scholarship award in support of his doctoral studies.
Punit is presently working as an Assistant Professor at Southern Connecticut State University from Fall 2020.
